1511 - 1546 Daeng Matanro Karaeng Mangutungi [TuMapa'risi' Kallonna], Somba-ri of Gowa. Succeeded his elder brother, 1511. m. (first) I-Reija Karaeng Lowe, daughter Karaeng Tunilabu-ri Suriwa, 2nd Karaeng Tallo. m. (second) "Polombangkeng", daughter of Karaeng Jamarang, by his wife, Karaeng Jonggoa. He d. 1547, having had issue:

1565  I-Tajibarani Daeng Marompa Karaeng Data [Karaeng Tunibatta], Somba-ri of Gowa. Succeeded his brother but reigned for just one month, 1565. m. a daughter of Karaeng Jamarang. m. I-Daeng Mangkasara, daughter of Karaeng Jamarang. m. I-Marusnia, daughter of Karaeng Tunipassuru-ri Lello Mangayowang Berang, 3rd Karaeng Tallo. m. Jampagaya. He was k. (beheaded) by the Boni forces, at Bukaka, 1565, having had issue:

1593 - 1639 I-Manga'rangi Daeng Manra'bia Sultan 'Ala ud-din [Tumenanga-ri Gaukama], 14th Somba-ri of Gowa and 1st Sultan of Gowa. b. 1586. Succeeded on the abdication of his brother, 1593. Reigned under the regency of I-Mallingkaang Daeng Mannyon-ri Karaeng Matoaya, Karaeng Tallo. First of his line to embrace Islam, when he took the title of Sultan 'Ala ud-din, 22nd September 1605. m. (first) I-Laja Daeng Mappasang, daughter of Karaeng Manjalling. m. (second) I-Mainung Daeng Mattyini Karaeng Bontowa (d. 12th May 1648), elder daughter of Daeng Melu Karaeng Kasaurrang. m. (second) I-Tadampali (b. ca. 1592; d. 1632), daughter of Daeng Paboli, Datu of Luwu, by his wife, Karaeng Balla'bugisika. He d. 15th June 1639, having had issue:

(second), 19th June 1691, as his second wife, Karaeng Bontokeke, son Karaeng Jarannika 'Abdu'l Ghafur, Karaeng of Chenrana - see Indonesia (Chenrana). m. Appointed as Karaeng Lakiung by his father, 13th August 1624. Succeeded on the death of his father, 15th June 1639. Succeeded on the death of his father, 21st December 1753. Assumed the name of Karaeng Batara Gowa Amas Madina , June 1758. Deposed in favour of his younger brother, 14thApril 1767. Fled to Bima, captured and exiled to Batavia and then to Ceylon. m. Siti Habiba. He d. at Colombo, Ceylon, 1795, having had issue, six sons and four daughters:

·         2) Karaeng Sangunglo. Escaped from the Dutch and entered the service of the King of Kandy, ca. 1800. He was k . in battle with the British, during the First Anglo-Kandyan War, 1803.

Succeeded o n the deposition of his elder brother, 14th April 1767. Crowned at Makassar, 23rd April 1767. Deserted the kingdom on 10th January 1769 and consequently deposed by the nobles on 15th February 1769. Granted the title of Madanrang Palakka by the Sultan of Gowa 23rd February 1769, and Aru Mampu Wawa by the Arumpone of Bone, on the same day. Tuma'bicara-butta of Gowa 1814. He d. 3rd December 1769?, having had issue, a daughter:

I-Mappaurangi Karaeng Kanjilo Paduka Sri Sultan Siraj ud-din, Sultan of Gowa and Tallo, educ. privately. Tuma'bicara-butta before his accession. Proclaimed on the deposition of Sultan Muhammad Imad ud-din, 15th February 1769. Crowned at Makassar, 30th August 1770. Deposed and expelled by the imposter Sankilang, 15th Jun1 1777. m. I-Makaraeng Karaeng Tamasangang Karaeng Katangka Paduka Sri Sultan Zain ud-din ibni al-Marhum Sultan Siraj ud-din, Sultan of Gowa, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his elder brother, 7th May 1810. Deposed by the Bugis 1814. He d. at Sambung, Java.

1814 - 1825 H.H. I-Mappatunru I-Manginyarang Karaeng Lembangparang Paduka Sri Sultan 'Abdu'l Rauf [Tumenanga-ri-Katangka], Sultan of Gowa and Tallo. b. 9th December 1749, second son of son of H.H. I-Mappainga Karaeng Lempangang Paduka Sri Sultan Safi ud-din, Sultan of Tallo. Bicharabutta of Gowa from 31st January 1789. Proclaimed as Sultan of Gowa after the defeat and expulsion of the Bugis, by General Nightingale's expedition in 1814. ·         b) I-Manene Karaeng Ballasari. m. as his third wife, Haji Andi La Mappanjuki Karaeng Silayar Sri Sultan Ibrahim ibnu Sultan Husain, Arumpone of Bone (b. at Jongaya, 1884; d. at Jongaya, 18th April 1967), younger son of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Husain ibnu Sultan Muhammad Idris, Sultan of Gowa, by his wife, We Tan-ri Padanrang Bau Jella, Adatuwang of Alita, eldest daughter of H.H. La Parenrengi Paduka Sri Sultan Ahmad Saleh, Arumpone of Bone. She had issue, three sons and three daughters - see Indonesia (Bone).
·         3) I-Bunta-latang Karaeng Mandalle Baramamasi (s/o I-Tenri Pada). m. I-Basse Karaeng Bontosiama, only daughter of I-Makkarumpa Karaeng Paganakang, by his wife, Rante Patola Karaeng Bontoramba. He had issue, one son and one daughter:

Yang di-Pertuan Kita Paduka Sri Sultan Ibrahim Zillu'llah fil-al 'Alam ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'llah (Ruma-ta Mawa'a Taho Parange), Sultan of Bima (b. 19th February 1866; d. 6th December 1915), younger son of H.H. Yang di-Pertuan Kita Paduka Sri Sultan 'Abdu'llah Muhammad Shah Zillu'llah fil-al 'Alam ibni al-Marhum Sri Paduka Sri Sultan Ismail (Ruma-ta Mawa'a Adil), Sultan of Bima. She had issue, one daughter - see Indonesia (Bima)
·         4) I-To' Patarai Karaeng Pabuadukang (s/o I-Tenri Pada). Tumailalang Tuwa. m. (first) April 1880, the daughter of H.H. Paduka Sri Sultan Amaru'llah bin Muhammad Kahar ud-din II, Sultan of Sumbawa. m. (second) I-Nango Karaeng Panaikang, eldest daughter of his uncle, I-Mappatunru Karaeng ri-Bura'ne, by his wife, I-Fatima Daeng Niyasing. He d. 1891.
·         5) H.H. I-Mangi-Mangi Daeng Matutu Karaeng Bontonompo Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad Tahir Muhib ud-din ibnu Sultan Muhammad Idris, Sultan of Gowa (s/o I-Tenri Pada) - see below.
·         6) I-Mangiruru Daeng Mangemba Karaeng Manjalling. m. I-Pawili Karaeng Ballasari, second daughter of I-Mallombassang Daeng Matawang, sometime Tumailalang Lolo, by his first wife, I-Tene Arung Pulawang.
·         1) I-Batari Toja, Arung of Barru (d/o I-Tenri Pada) - see Indonesia (Barru).
·         2) I-Balontong Karaeng Tawiti. m. La Parenrengi Karaeng Tinggimai, eldest son of I-Manggabarani Karaeng Mangeppe, by his first wife, Dala-witung, a Sidenreng princess. She had issue, two daughters - see Indonesia (Sidenreng).
·         3) I-Lija Karaeng Madallo.
·         4) I-Toga Karaeng Salajo.
·         5) I-Bamba Daeng Ngai Karaeng Bontomasugi.

1895 - 1906 H.H. I-Makkulau Daeng Serang Karaeng Lembangparang Paduka Sri Sultan Husain ibnu Sultan Muhammad Idris [Tumenanga-ri Bunduna], Sultan of Gowa, eldest son of H.H. I-Mallingkaang Daeng Nyonci Karaeng Katangka Kulau Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad Idris ibni al-Marhum Sultan 'Abdu'l Kadir Muhammad 'Aidid, Sultan of Gowa, by his wife, H.H. I-Tenri Pada Paduka Sri Sultana Siti Aisha, Arung of Barru, educ. privately. Succeeded on the death of his father, 18th May 1895. Crowned at Makassar, 5th December 1895. Fled into the interior and took up arms against the government of the NEI, 19th October 1905. Deposed by them, 13th April 1906. Rcvd: Knt. Order of the Netherlands Lion. m. November 1880, We Tan-ri Padanrang Bau Jella, Adatuwang of Alita, eldest daughter of H.H. La Parenrengi Paduka Sri Sultan Ahmad Saleh, Arumpone of Bone, by his wife, I-Basse Tan-ri Waru Kajuwara Hadi Abel Hadi Pelaiengi Pasimpa, Datu of Supa, daughter of La Tan-ri suki, Arung Kajuwara. He d. from a fall, at Bundukma, near Enrekang, 25th December 1906, having had issue, two sons:
·         1) La Pangorisang, Adatuwang of Alita (s/o We Tan-ri Padanrang) - see Indonesia (Alita).
·         2) H.H. Haji Andi Bacho La Mappanjuki Karaeng Silayar Sri Sultan Ibrahim ibnu Sri Sultan Husain, Arumpone of Bone (s/o We Tan-ri Padarang) - see Indonesia (Bone).

1936 - 1946 H.H. I-Mangi-Mangi Daeng Matutu Karaeng Bontonompo Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad Tahir Muhib ud-din ibnu Sultan Muhammad Idris [Tumenanga-ri Sungguminasa], Sultan of Gowa, youngest son of H.H. Sri Sultan Muhammad Idris ibnu Sultan 'Abdu'l Kadir Muhammad 'Aidid, Sultan of Gowa, by his wife, I-Tenri Pada Sultana Siti Aisha, Arung of Barru, daughter of To' Patarai Sumanga Rukka, Arung of Barru, educ. privately. Restored to the throne of his ancestors 30th November 1936 (recognised by the govt. of the NEI, 31st December 1936). Crowned at Sungguminasa, 4th January 1937. m. I-Kundjung Karaeng Rana-tana. m. (first) I-Kundjung Karaeng Rana-tana. m. (second) ... He d. 20th April 1946 (bur. Bungun Barania, Tammalate), having had issue, three sons and one daughter:
·         1) H.H. Andi Ijo Daeng Mattawang Karaeng Lalolang Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad 'Abdu'l Kadir Aid ud-din ibnu Sultan Muhammad Tahir Muhib ud-din, Sultan of Gowa (s/o I-Kundjung) - see below.
·         2) Andi Abasa Daeng Manrimo Karaeng Bilagi (half-brother of Andi Ijo).
·         3) Andi Makulau Karaeng Lembang Perang.
·         1) Andi Rachmatiah Daeng Baji (d/o I-Kundjung). m. Andi Makkassau Parenrengi La Wawo, Datu of Suppa (k. by the Dutch soldiers, after undergoing hideous mutilation, 28th January 1947). She had issue, one daughter - see Indonesia (Suppa).

1946 - [1978] H.H. Andi Ijo Daeng Mattawang Karaeng Lalolang Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad 'Abdu'l Kadir Aid ud-din ibnu Sultan Muhammad Tahir Muhib ud-din, Sultan of Gowa. b. 1903, son of H.H. I-Mangi-Mangi Daeng Matutu Karaeng Bontonompo Paduka Sri Sultan Muhammad Tahir Muhib ud-din ibnu Sultan Muhammad Idris, Sultan of Gowa, by his wife, I-Kundjung Karaeng Rana-tana, educ. HIS Makassar. Proclaimed on the death of his father, 20th April 1946. Crowned at Makassar, 25th April 1947. Kepala Daerah of Gowa 6th February 1957. Deposed by the Indonesian Republic on the termination of the Sultanate, 1st July 1960. m. two wives. He d. at Jongaya, 1978, having had issue, at least three sons:
·         1) Haji Andi Maginruru Patta Emba.
·         2) H.H. Andi Kumala Karaeng Sila ibnu Sultan Muhammad 'Abdu'l Kadir Aid ud-din, Sultan of Gowa - see below.
·         3) Dr. Haji Andi Maddusila Ijo. Camat of Pasar Minggu in 2001, and of Pademangan in 2003-2005.
